Author Bio:
Zeecé Lugo was born in Puerto Rico, grew up in Brooklyn, and lived in many places. She spent seven years in the U.S. Air force, taught for many years in Miami, and even spent a year working for the IRS.

Her early love was reading. The worlds of Pern, Middle-earth, St. Mary Mead, and Shrewsbury Abbey had an incredible influence and hold on her imagination.
She wrote her first novel, Daniel’s Fork, in two months, spending long hours at her task. During that time, she ensconced herself in her bedroom with her computer, barely coming out to grab a cup of coffee or a snack. One day, her nearest neighbor came desperately knocking at her bedroom window, afraid that Zeecé might be dead; no one had seen her for days!

Daniel’s Fork was meant to be the first book in a romantic trilogy. Little did Zeecé know that stories have a way of going where they want to go. Daniel’s Fork turned out to be a journey to the future past! It is a sexy mystery set in the future, giving birth to a fictional universe: the Daniel’s Fork universe.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My writing comes from stories that have been playing on my mind for many, many years. My male protagonists have been inspired by the romantic heroes of authors such as Karen Marie Moning and Christine Feehan. My heroines are always strong, can-do females. I grew up on a diet of Latin novellas where the main female character is always crying and praying to the Virgin Mary. As a result, I hate helpless, weak female characters. Setiyah kills viciously when she has to and so does Gabby. They look weak but are nothing of the sort.

Now there is only one obstacle standing between her and the retribution she craves… Talia, herself. Her greatest asset may also be her undoing; while a formidable weapon in the field, Talia’s talents prevent her from shutting off both the mental connection she shares with her childhood boyfriend and the thoughts of a beguiling fellow recruit. She must regain the single-minded determination that has brought her this far, or it may cost Talia her life when she finally faces Crane. After a life spent being molded in to a weapon of war, will she have the strength to pull the trigger? If James Bond and Sookie Stackhouse had a love child with a yearning for vengeance, her story would be TALENTED: an adventure about powerful teenagers who aren’t afraid to embrace their fears and fight for what they believe in.

Author Bio:
While studying for the bar exam, Sophie Davis longed for the ability to read minds, so she could pluck the answers from the minds of those around her. From this thought, Sophie began to build a story and a world. When she moved to Washington, D.C. after the dreaded exam was over, she decided to see what could come of putting this story to paper. She decided right away that she wanted full creative control over her work. Without ever querying an agent, Sophie began the long journey towards self-publishing her first full-length novel, Talented. Now, three years later, there are four sequels to Talented; Caged, Hunted, and Created are all currently available, as well as a novella called Captivated. The fifth and final book, Inescapable, has an expected release in Fall 2014.
