Targeted Audience: Adult readers/ Over 21

Author Bio:
An English teacher, an author, and a fan of anything pink and/or glittery, Lindsay's the English teacher cliché; she love cats, reading, Shakespeare, and Poe.

She currently lives in her hometown with her husband, Chad (her junior high sweetheart); their cats, Arya, Amelia, Alice, Marjorie, and Bob; and their Mastiff, Henry.

Lindsay's goal with her writing is to show the power of love and the beauty of life while also instilling a true sense of realism in her work. Some reviewers have noted that her books are not the “typical romance.” With her novels coming from a place of honesty, Lindsay examines the difficult questions, looks at the tough emotions, and paints the pictures that are sometimes difficult to look at. She wants her fiction to resonate with readers as realistic, poetic, and powerful. Lindsay wants women readers to be able to say, “I see myself in that novel.” She wants to speak to the modern woman’s experience while also bringing a twist of something new and exciting. Her aim is for readers to say, “That could happen,” or “I feel like the characters are real.” That’s how she knows she's done her job.

Lindsay's hope is that by becoming a published author, she can inspire some of her students and other aspiring writers to pursue their own passions. She wants them to see that any dream can be attained and publishing a novel isn’t out of the realm of possibility.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My husband is my everything, and I'm not afraid to admit that.
He is my rock when I feel like giving up or like I can't go on.
He is my source of laughter when everything's falling apart.
He is my fighter when something isn't fair.
He is my cheerleader when I feel like I'm losing.
He is my righter when I am wrong.
He is my focus when I lose sight of the bigger picture.
He is my reminder to go with the flow.
He is my shield from the painful aspects of life.
He is everything to me.
As a writer, I look for ideas that spark emotion. I want readers to feel every word of my writing. I want them to laugh with the characters, but I also want them to cry. Life isn't perfect, and neither is love. Sometimes it is the biggest source of pain.
To Say Goodbye came to be mostly out of fear…the fear of losing my husband. I got to thinking what life would be like if I were forced to face it without him, if tragedy struck. I thought about how hopeless I would feel, how I wouldn't ever know if could go on.
To Say Goodbye, in many ways, is a projection of one of my biggest fears. However, it's also a hopeful story. It shows that the human spirit is capable of amazing feats. The human heart, too, is able to achieve unimaginable triumphs.
Sophia's story is a story I hope I never have to live through. However, her story is also a reminder that even in our broken times, love both past and present can carry us through.

After weeks of misery, Tori takes to the hills of Central Otago to clear her head. High up in the tussock country she loves so much, she realises that it is time to move on and let go of the past.
The decision comes as a relief, but a sudden weather change gives Tori little time to dwell on it.
Will Tori make it home safely to put her decisions into action? And will Tom ever find out what happened to her?

Targeted Audience: women 21 and up

Author Bio:
Annie Rehmann grew up near Basel/Switzerland. In 1997, she and husband Ralph decided to make New Zealand their new home.
Annie has always had a love of language, especially writing. At school, she thrived on the challenge of expressing herself with clarity not only in her native German, but also in other languages. For a while, Annie aspired to be a journalist one day, but she decided that she wasn’t thick-skinned enough and instead trained as a primary teacher.
Annie started to write her own fiction, in English, a few years ago, resulting in her first novel “Teaching Tori”.
When Annie isn’t teaching, reading or writing, she spends time with Ralph and teenage daughter June on their off-grid solar powered house project. She loves tramping in the South Island with Ralph, June and her two dogs Freddie and Pepper.

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
This book started with a scene at the start – Tori is seeking refuge in the toilets after a verbal attack by her principal, and Tom, a visiting adviser to her school happens to see her. The characters and storyline grew from there. I wanted to write a book that I would love to read. It had to be compelling, and it had to move the reader.
I also wanted to give an insight into life as a teacher in New Zealand, and to share some of the wonderful scenery of the South Island.

Amatore’s Restaurant by James Sillwood

Amatore-iconIt is the end of another successful year for the Recreative Theatre Company and the cast have arranged to meet at Amatore’s Restaurant for their end-of-season dinner.
As the evening progresses, each guest recalls a past sexual liaison. In these recollections we are transported to a variety of locations; the rolling countryside of Brittany to the brown cafés of Amsterdam, from the grandeur of Venice to the slums of Marseilles.
The stories describe various situations: Prudence relates her encounters on a train journey and Colin makes a surprising discovery when he settles down to watch his favourite film. Some characters are driven by self-interest: the sociopath Nicole with her reckless behaviour towards her trusting nephew, and Colette who takes advantage of her unsuspecting tenant.
A common theme unfolds: the hidden truths behind the motives for seduction. As the evening comes to a close, old alliances are re-kindled, new attachments are formed, while others are broken. Frustrations rise to the surface as truths are revealed. For some the evening is a great success, for others a disaster.

Targeted Audience: adult readers of general fiction

Author Bio:
Living in picturesque Southern Brittany, James Sillwood divides his time between writing and music. As an accomplished pianist he plays regularly at a restaurant in Carnac and at various venues with a Latin jazz quartet. It is here, in France, that Amatore’s Restaurant has recently been completed. This book, along with two other novels currently in progress, have been long term projects; the first ideas for the plot and characters taking shape well over ten years ago.

Targeted Audience: 25 – 55

Author Bio:
After years spent in searchingfor the right carrier, and blindly jumping from management to waiting tables, I’ve ended up in the Car Valeting and Cleaning Business. I know, a bummer, right? And if that wasn’t enough, I spent the last 5 years 3000 kilometers away from my home country Bulgaria. I and my partner settled in the UK in the beginning of the 2009 with the idea to save some money and return home, but . . . Life happened. And here I am, still cleaning cars and dreaming for a better future. I guess there is at least one thing that had been born from the lack of social life, the homesickness, and the too many hours spent in front of the computer that I care to admit. I’ve began writing. Even as a child my imagination had been running wild. I preferred to create worlds instead to live in the real one. During my teenage years I found poetry, and poured my heart out on the pages covered in tears. But I had to grow up and I kind of pushed my writing dream in the deepest and dustiest corner of my mind.
But the pull was too strong, and during 2012 I wrote my first novella “Fighting the Impossible”. It took me over six months to self-publish it on Amazon’s KDP platform but finally my dream took shape.
