What inspires you to write romance books?
Dreams. I wake up in the middle of the night all the time and think: That’ll make a great story!

Tell us about how you write:
Plot usually comes first thanks to a brilliant idea that lights up my mind like a sparkler, but there have been wonderful moments when a character has pushed through my thoughts and told me they had my next great story idea.

The moment I get such an idea, I write on a piece of paper how I want it to begin and on the back I write how I want it to end. Then I write every event that needs to take place and even snippets of conversations.

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
A little bit of both. Sometimes my characters will tell me he/she wants to do something or doesn’t want something to happen. And when they put their foot down, I do what they say!

What advice would you give other writers?
Pretend you’re the one being romanced in your story. How would you want to be treated? What would you want to happen? What are your desires? In real life, your fantasy may not come true but it can in your book!

How did you decide how to publish your books?
I was seeking representation for my unpublished supernatural-thriller series when I realized I might have to break into publishing another way, so I took my story, Hurricane Crimes, and submitted it to a small press. Some time later, I got my first publishing contract. Although I always wanted to publish my series first, I took a chance. Don’t be afraid to take a chance!

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
I think the future of book publishing is only going to get better, with more opportunities for authors.

What genres do you write?
Romantic-Suspense, Romance, Supernatural-thriller

What formats are your books in?
eBook
