Author Arabella Sheen Shares Their Story

Arabella Sheen is a successfully published British author. Her novels – Blinded by Desire and Temporary Bride – have been well received and are acquiring excellent reviews from her loyal following of romance readers. Arabella likes nothing more than the challenge of a blank page. Starting a new novel, with new ideas and new plots, she aims to excite her readers, drawing them into the sparkling, elegant world of romance, love and passion. Her novels are for the true romantic. They’re places where readers are able to escape with jet-setting billionaires, be flown to exotic locations and cosmopolitan destinations, only to be caught up in the heartbreaking decisions and emotional conflicts her sophisticated, strong alpha hero’s and equally strong resourceful heroine’s have to make.
One of the many things Arabella loves to do is read and when she’s not reading or writing modern romantic novels she is either on her allotment, sowing and planting with the seasons, or she is pandering to the demands of her attention seeking cat.
Having worked and lived in the city of Amsterdam in the Netherlands for nearly twenty years, she now lives in the South of England with her family. As well as constantly developing and promoting her writing career she also works in a busy international hotel where she is able to meet lots of interesting people from various parts of the world and from whom she often gains inspiration and ideas to include and incorporate in her contemporary romance novels.
Arabella hopes her readers have as much pleasure from her ‘easy reading’ ebooks and paperbacks as she has in writing them.

What inspires you to write romance books?
I get a buzz from my romance readers when they leave a great review. It let’s me know I’ve made someone happy even if it was for a short while; until the final page of the book had been turned.

Tell us about how you write:
If I get the chance to sit at the laptop . . . I’m writing. Anywhere, anytime and any place.

Do you listen (or talk to) to your characters?
My characters tend to be with me in real life situations. Someone could says something to me and the next thing I know I’m writing them into a novel . . . dressed in diamonds, driving in a limo and flying a private jet.
Anything’s possible in a romance novel.

What advice would you give other writers?
Write. It’s as simple as that. If you don’t get those words down they’re not written. WRITE.

How did you decide how to publish your books?
A very dear someone told me about self-publishing. With nothing to lose . . . I found an editor, proofreader, and I published.

What do you think about the future of book publishing?
Who knows what’s around the corner. It was only a short time ago that digital readers were unknown.

What genres do you write:: Romance

What formats are your books in: Both eBook and Print
